John Freer to Speak at Upcoming Classic Boat Festival
The Duxbury Bay Maritime School is pleased to announce the guest speaker for the upcoming Classic Boat Festival.
John Freer, Admissions Director for the International Yacht Restoration School will be at the Duxbury Yacht Club waterfront boathouse on Saturday September 13, 2008 from 12:30 – 1:30.
John will be speaking about IRYS as a non-profit institution dedicated to education and maritime preservation. The school teaches the skills, history, art and science of building, restoring and maintaining boats and their systems. His talk will also include the discussion of a current restoration project of the 1885 Schooner Yacht Coronet.
