ACCESSAIL
ACCESSAIL is dedicated to providing sailing opportunities for everyone irrespective of physical or cognitive challenges.
Junior Windsurfing
For a different kind of sailing thrill, try our windsurfing classes for ages 12-18. Beginners and more advanced students will have some wet and wild fun!
Junior Tiller Tamers
It’s never too early to get on the water! Students will learn to row, rig and steer a Pram, take a launch ride, and sail on a cruising boat.
Junior Sailing
From ages 8 to 18 we offer sailing classes for every level of interest. From a gentle introduction to sailing and boats for the younger child to more advanced instruction in Opti and 420 sailing and racing, we provide just what your child needs. Many of our winning Fall and Spring High School sailors are products of these great programs!
Junior Rowing
We offer a range of classes, from beginner to advanced, for students entering 8th grade through college. Basic techniques and refinement of skills are the focus of our rowing programs. As demonstrated by our successful fall and spring novice and varsity rowing teams, DBMS rowing instruction is one of the strongest programs on the South Shore!
Junior Kayaking
Run by our very experienced friends at Eastern Mountain Sports, our kayaking program offerings for ages 8-16 have expanded to include a Kayaking II class as well as an introductory class. We guarantee your child will fall in love with paddling the bay!
Junior First Wave Ecology Camp
Come join the adventures of First Wave. Drop off and pick up at the Duxbury Middle School. Through this science-based program, children discover the marine environment through a variety of hands-on activities including performing science experiments, collecting and identifying local marine inhabitants, exploring the beach and marsh area habitats, playing games and creating crafts. Daily trips may include lobster boat rides, crabbing, trips to local lighthouses, and much more marine fun.
Junior Big Fish Little Fish Ecology
Choose from a multitude of classes in ecology. With classes for children ages 3-10, we offer fun, informative and hands on activities centered on Duxbury Bay, the tidal environment, and the many creatures that live in our waters! All classes are conducted on and around the bay.
Adult Sailing
Adult Sailing at DBMS takes many forms, all designed to get YOU out on the water. From basic sailing lessons to our popular boat rental program, we have a variety of options, each of which is described below. We hope you will join us on the water this summer!
Adult Rowing
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned competitive rower, there is a class for you. On-the-water programs are offered spring, summer, and fall. Indoor training on Concept II ergometers will keep you fit during the winter months.
