Row Well: Learn to Row LEVEL 1

Row Well: Learn-to-Row Level 1 is the first step in the new and improved 3 part progression of our complete introduction to the sport of rowing in a fun and safe environment on the bay. Level 1 introduces the basics of rowing terminology, technique, equipment, and fitness. Also covered are the basics of coxing a boat – commands and steering. Learn-to-Row uses rowing machines and wide-based rowing shells during each session so that rowers can learn the rowing stroke in a stable environment.

Row Fast: Learn to Row LEVEL 2

Ages: 11-15 Prerequisites: LTR Level 2 or HS Rowing Team Requirements: Competent Swimmer

Row Hard: Learn-to-Row Level 2 is the continuation of the development of basic rowing technique and focuses on the ability to effectively move a boat as a crew. Rowers will expand their knowledge of rowing technique and concepts of physical well-being including hydration, core strength, and flexibility. Also covered are the basics of coxing a boat – commands and steering. Learn-to-Row uses rowing machines and wide-based rowing shells during each session so that rowers can learn the rowing stroke in a stable environment.

Race Hard: Learn to Row LEVEL 3

2hrs / 1 week / $275 / Fixed Schedule
Ages: 13-15 Prerequisites: LTR Level 1 & 2 or HS Rowing Requirements: Competent Swimmer

Row Fast: Level 3 is the culmination of the Learn-to-Row program which will leave participants with a solid foundation of skills and knowledge of the sport of rowing. Rowers will build on their knowledge of the rowing stroke technique, terminology, and equipment and will advance to rowing in a narrow-hulled racing 4x. At the end of the week, participants will have the opportunity to scrimmage in a friendly intramural environment.
