Through yoga, I’ve found a contentment and joy within myself that I never knew was possible. It brings me such pleasure to share this healing practice with others, acting as a gentle guide as you become reacquainted with your own inner peace.
Currently, I am living in Duxbury having just returned from an immersive yoga apprenticeship in Maine. While immersed, I pursued my 500 hour level advanced yoga teacher training, learning yogic philosophy, meditation, alignment, anatomy, hands on assists, private instruction, youth yoga, and more!
I specialize in children’s yoga, youth yoga, beginner’s yoga, and yoga for chronic illness, having been through illness myself and using the healing powers of a regular yoga practice to support my recovery. I played competitive sports my whole life but in light of these health challenges, I realized I needed to slow down and nourish my body in a sustainable, mindful way. I offer various levels of challenge depending on each student’s specific desires for physical movement. I found yoga at a time when I needed it the most, I needed something to believe in. It wasn’t as much the physicality as the mentality that attracted me to the practice. I have faith in yoga to act as a vessel for knowing ourselves more fully, each time we step on the mat and link breath with movement. I am currently continuing to heal, regaining strength, life and vitality while I teach in Duxbury! Yoga afforded me a beacon of hope, and my intent is to share that joy with others. No matter what physical capacity, or mental frame of mind, yoga meets us where we are.
