Summer kickoff! – The Porch Bar

We look forward to seeing you at our Porch Bar events this summer! Mark your calendars for these popular waterfront gatherings. No registration or tickets are required—just come and enjoy an evening by the Bay.

Grab a drink from our cash bar, enjoy delicious offerings from local food trucks, and bring the whole family. Each event features activities for all ages, including lawn games, boat rides, music, and plenty of fun both on and off the water. There’s something for everyone!

Midweek Maritime Mahjong

Join us for an open play Mahjong night on the DBMS porch! Bring your tiles, mats, and your best game face for a relaxed evening of strategy, laughs, and waterfront vibes. We’ll provide the tables and chairs — you bring your Mahjong setup, favorite snacks, and friends.

The DBMS bar will be open to purchase drinks, so grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy a casual night of Mahjong under the porch lights. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just Mahjong-curious, all are welcome at the table!

Veterans | Vets on the Bay 2026

We welcome all service members and their families—past and present—to enjoy a memorable day on the water. Whether you choose to sail, take a powerboat cruise, row, or simply relax and take in the beautiful scenery, there’s something for everyone. We will run rain or shine and activities include boat tours, sailing, rowing, marine science lab tours, children's activities and a brunch.  To see the schedule of events click the blue button "price varies". We look forward to honoring and celebrating your service with this special event.

Yoga & Fitness

Dockside Yoga & Fitness began in 2016 when a local instructor, inspired by the stunning Duxbury Bay views, started Saturday morning classes. Since then, we’ve grown to serve our community with an expanded schedule and staff. Practicing in Clifford Hall’s spacious, panoramic setting offers a chance to disconnect, breathe, and connect with nature. Drop in and experience the waterfront in a new way—we look forward to seeing you soon!

Community Day is a free event that supports our mission of Access for All. All are welcome ot enjoy food trucks (a portion of proceeds support DBMS!), bouncy houses, a dunk tank, kayaking, boat tours, live music, a raffle and other great activities.

Keeping the Bay Healthy: Projects, Progress & Partnerships

Join us April 9 at 6:30 PM at DBMS for a free panel discussion with local marine scientists. In partnership with Peter Quigley (Duxbury Water Quality Project), hear from Tess Goldmann (Wildlands Trust) and Alex Mansfield (North & South Rivers Watershed Association) about ongoing projects, progress, and partnerships working to protect our Bay.

The Clipper Race: Life Offshore with Andre Martecchini

Join Duxbury’s Andre Martecchini as he discusses what it’s like to sail the Southern Ocean on a leg of the Around the World Clipper race. He will discuss how he joined the UNICEF team, what life is like onboard, the tactics of racing, and what equipment worked and what didn’t. Come and ask questions and hear tales from this incredible journey!

Closing of the Bay ’25

Celebrate the end of the season with DBMS at our Closing of the Bay Cocktail Party, a night of community, connection, and celebration, all set against the stunning backdrop of Duxbury Bay.

Enjoy an open bar, sushi and gourmet food stations, live music, and a silent auction, plus exclusive access aboard the historic tall ship, Denis Sullivan, throughout the evening.

The Secret Lives of Ocean Giants: A Conversation with Jake Levenson

Jake Levenson, a marine biologist with BOEM and co-founder of Oceans Forward, pioneers innovative solutions to understand protected species’ behavior, habitat, and ecosystem roles, especially amid energy development. His cutting-edge conservation work earned him recognition in The Explorers Club 50, celebrating global leaders in science and exploration.
