The ‘checkout’ sail provides an opportunity for the Renter to demonstrate to one of the DBMS crew their sailing skills on either a Marshall 15 "Sandpiper" or a Flying Scot.

DBMS is proud to offer Marshall 15 rentals to experienced sailors. Renters must have had a ‘checkout sail’ in the past two seasons (2024 or 2025). If new to the DBMS rental program, please reach out to Bill at asail@dbms.org to schedule a ‘checkout sail’.

Join us for our upcoming Ladies Night Sailing series, a delightful journey across the bay on select Thursdays. Prepare for an evening filled with laughter, the beauty of the bay, and the company of fantastic women.  Learn which boat you prefer: RS Quests, Marshall 15's, or Flying Scots. No experience necessary but qualified skippers may take the helm and share their knowledge with newer sailors.

Join us for our Mixed Group Sailing series.  Discover how much fun sailing on Duxbury Bay can be.  Learn which boat you prefer: RS Quests, Marshall 15's, or Flying Scots. No experience necessary but qualified skippers may take the helm and share their knowledge with newer sailors.

Ages: 18 – 99 years old as of August 31, 2026

Prerequisites: Competent Swimmer, Experienced Flying Scot Skipper

Charter one of the DBMS Flying Scots and join the DYC Midsummer Regatta – Saturday July 26th and Sunday July 27th.  First gun at 12:00 both days.
