Feeling stuck inside this winter with a little one that has endless amounts of energy? Bundle up and join us for an hour as we explore Duxbury Bay and the unique creatures that only come to visit once the weather turns cold!
Grade K-2
Afterschool
The fun’s not over until we say it is!! Like the last session, we will pick students up from Chandler at 3:25 PM in the DBMS van and then head back to DBMS for a marine science lesson, and an activity or craft related to what we just learned! We have a new set of topics, so don’t miss out on the fun!
Grade 3-5
Afterschool
Back for a winter session, we will be continuing our Alden Afterschool Program for six more weeks of fun! Students will be picked up from Alden at 2:00 PM in the DBMS van before returning to campus until 4:00 PM! Despite the cold weather arriving, there’s still plenty to see throughout winter on Duxbury Bay. This program will have a heavy STEM focus, with lots of exciting hands-on activities!
Grade K-2
1/2 Day Programs
On half-days, DBMS will pick your student up from Chandler in our 15-passenger van and bring them back to DBMS for a fun afternoon. Each half-day student will learn about a new marine science topic. Weather permitting, students will get out of the classroom for some hands-on fun after the lesson!
Grade K-5
Full Day Programs
If school is off for the day, but you still have work, send your child to DBMS for a day they won’t forget! Van rides to different ecosystems around town, scavenger hunts on the beach, and experiments in the Marine Science lab are just a few examples of some of the awesome things they will do during their day off!
Grades K-5
Parents Night Out
New this year we will be offering after hours programs for grades K-5 on a few Friday nights throughout the winter. Drop your kids off for some DBMS after an evening of fun while you enjoy a night out!

Homeschool
Enrich your child’s homeschool experience with hands-on learning at DBMS! We’re taking things out of the classroom this year. Students will explore Duxbury Bay and other local habitats using our 15-passenger van. Our lessons adhere to the next generation’s science standards.
