Big Fish Little Fish

Wednesdays, Ages 2-4
If you have attended our Big Fish Little Fish program this summer, join us this Fall for more fun on the Bay! For anyone new to DBMS, parents/guardians attend this program with their child! The program lasts an hour and a half and will include a short lesson, a hands-on activity, and a craft or short story. Topics include marine mammals, osprey, sea turtles, tides & waves.

Tuesdays or Wednesdays, Grades K-2
Fall is one of our favorite times of year here at DBMS! The water is still warm, and there is so much wildlife in the Bay for us to study! Skip the pick-up line, and we will pick students up from Chandler at 3:25 PM for a fun afternoon at DBMS. For anyone that attended our program last year, we have a list of new topics to cover!

Each class will start with a snack and a lesson before we move on to our afternoon activity. We will use our fifteen-passenger van and occasionally a boat for hands-on fun all afternoons!

Mondays, Grades 3-5
If your child is interested in STEM, DBMS is the place to be this fall! Our summer participants worked hard to create an underwater robot to help us explore Duxbury Bay. We’re excited to continue modifying the robot this fall! We will pick students up from Alden at 2 PM and return to DBMS for a lesson and snack. We will use our 15-passenger van and Carolina skiffs for hands-on learning in and around Duxbury Bay! Parents will pick students up from DBMS at 4 PM.

Fridays, Grades K-8
Enrich your child’s homeschool experience with hands-on learning at DBMS! Our lessons adhere to the next generation’s science standards, and we cover a new topic each class. We use a 15-passenger van and Caroline Skiff to take field trips to local ecosystems in Duxbury, allowing us to cover a broader array of topics and get out of the classroom!

If school is off for the day due to a holiday or professional development day, but you still have work, send your child to DBMS for a day of fun! Boat rides, scavenger hunts on the beach, and experiments in the Marine Science lab are just a few examples of some of the awesome things they will do during their day off!
