Big Fish, Little Fish

Ages 2–4
Thursdays 10:30-11:30 AM
There might still be snow on the ground, but we’re hoping for blue skies and warmer temperatures when we start up our spring session on March 9th! Join us for a fun, hands-on class with a new topic each week. Classes will meet at various locations around town including, DBMS, Duxbury Beach, Standish Shore, and Shipyard Beach.

GRADE K-2 AFTERSCHOOL

Tuesdays or Wednesdays 3:45-5:15 PM
Get a jump start on our summer marine science programs, and join us for the last session of marine science after school. Like the previous session, we will pick students up from Chandler at 3:25 PM in the DBMS van and then head back to DBMS for a snack, a marine science lesson, and an activity or craft related to what we just learned! We change the topics every session, so if your child has joined us for an after school session before, we have a whole new set of lesson topics for this session!

GRADE 3-5 AFTERSCHOOL

Thursdays 2:00-4:00 PM
Join us for our last session of the school year! Students will be picked up from Alden at 2:00 PM in the DBMS van before returning to campus until 4:00 PM! As the weather warms, we will head out of the classroom and back on the Bay! Weather permitting, we will use our Carolina Skiff and 15-passenger van to take local field trips to expand the array of topics we can cover!

If school is off for the day due to a holiday or professional development day, but you still have work, send your child to DBMS for a day of fun! Van rides to different ecosystems, scavenger hunts on the beach, crafts, and experiments in the Marine Science lab are just a few examples of some of the awesome things they will do during their day off!

K-4 HOMESCHOOL PROGRAMS

Fridays 10:00-1:00 PM
Enrich your child’s homeschool experience with hands-on learning at DBMS! Our lessons adhere to the next generation’s science standards, and we cover a new topic each class. We use a 15-passenger van and Caroline Skiff to take field trips to local ecosystems in Duxbury, allowing us to cover a broader array of topics and get out of the classroom!
