In the summer of 2015, Executive Director Chuck Leonard and his Senior Staff introduced the town of Duxbury to ‘Cocktails on the Porch’ (formerly known as the ‘Come-All-Ya’).
What began as an outcry for more adult-friendly events turned into a well-known series of fun, social evenings hosted at our school
‘Cocktails on the Porch’ are free events where adults could come to the school after hours to kick back and socialize with their friends and neighbors. Each night would include a cash bar and attendees would each bring hors d’oeuvres to share. That summer, we hosted five well attended events for adults 21 and over!
As word spread about our ‘Cocktails on the Porch’, local catering companies and businesses have asked to co-sponsor us. Renowned establishments such as Alden Park, The Chef’s Table, The Foodsmith, and Snug Harbor Wine have provided light bites and wine tastings at a few of our events.
