Kathy Burke-Southworth RYT 200
I am so excited to be part of your yoga journey. If you want to feel greater emotional balance, more of a sense of ease in your body, a deepening clarity of mind, and an empowering connection to your true purpose —I invite you to my class, where we can work more in depth on your goals.
I have been practicing yoga for 18 years and became a certified yoga instructor from Emerald Yoga Studio two years ago as I was preparing to retire from teaching (special education K-12 for 20 years, general education, grade 5 for 10 years). I used yoga in my classroom on a daily basis to help my students become more focused, release stress and guide them to notice their bodies.
My classes do not require you to be flexible, strong and focused, they’re not geared towards perfectly shaped athletes. They’re for regular people who want to grow, heal and get closer to their best selves. Yoga was hard for me when I started, but the deep relaxation I felt afterward and the sense of having done something good for myself was amazing. As I continue my yoga practice I experience a greater sense of mind, body and spirit.
I invite you to take that first step that begins a most valuable and meaningful path. Looking forward to meeting in person and seeing you on the mat!
