Maddie Van Ummersen – Duxbury Bay Maritime School

Varsity Boys’ Assistant Coach

Maddie Van Ummersen joined the DBMS coaching staff in 2014 as an instructor for the summer Learn to Row and SUP programs. Maddie Rowed for DBMS for three years as a high school athlete before attending Miami University in Ohio.

High School Rowing accomplishments include;

2014 MPSRA Champions in the girls varsity 4+
Qualified for the National Schools Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY

While at Miami her accomplishments included;

Stroked the 1^st place Women’s 8+ at the Head of the Cuyahoga
1^st place in the women’s collegiate lightweight division at the Mid-West Championship Erg Sprints

An avid rower and runner, Maddie is excited to be a part of the DBMS crew coaching staff and to have the opportunity to help develop, and share her passion for rowing with the boys varsity team.
